Gideon North writes songs, tabletop adventures and fantasy fiction, and most of it is about people on the move and where they end up.
His albums are Old Gods, Open Roads, a set of songs to old gods such as Freyr, Ganapati and Pomba Gira, and Bell Creek, twelve songs about misfits who find something holy in a clearing in the woods.
The Worn Road is his line of twenty Pathfinder Second Edition adventures, one for each level, each set at a real place and moment in history, from a Cornish mine in 1893 to the plague village of Eyam in 1666. Every module opens with the true history of the ground the players are standing on.
His fiction is set in Palegain, a world of gods, magic and long winters. Dragonriders in the Ice is the novel; Spoon and Pot is its prequel novella.
The studio
The work is published by Wonderway Studio, which is one person's workshop run like a studio because the work needed the discipline.
The name
The Wonderway is a road in the fiction: a path you can only walk forward, lit just far enough ahead to take the next step. It turned out to describe the way the work actually goes, so it became the name over the door.
The mark
A single beam. The studio's identity guide keeps one rule above all the others: the light is the constant. The road always runs ahead. Every project underneath is a waystation on that road, keeping the light and changing only what it does.
How the work is organised
Everything the studio has going lives in one registry. The slate this site shows is fourteen projects, fourteen of them active, across music, tabletop, fiction and software, and these pages are built from that registry, so the number is the number. Projects are not spun up casually and they are not quietly deleted. Some of what is in the registry is not on this site, because it is not published under this name or not far enough along to be worth your time. It is named and reasoned about in the repository rather than dropped, because pretending the slate is tidier than it is helps nobody.

Support
Everything here is made by one person, and the records play for nothing. If you want to put something in the hat there is a Ko-fi. It pays for render time and the domain, and nothing is held back behind it.
